Course Description
The Master of Teaching is a graduate entry initial teacher education program designed to prepare teachers to teach as primary teachers Areas of focus include curriculum and pedagogy, assessment and reporting, Indigenous knowing in curriculum design, inclusive pedagogies, classroom management for positive learning, discipline knowledge as a specialization, literacy and numeracy and ICT across the curriculum Students undertake a total of 60 days of supervised professional practice in schools or educational sites to ensure that theory and practice are integrated The program is designed to maximize the repertoire of knowledge and skills that facilitate working in complex education settings Note: The Master of Teaching is delivered through a blended online learning model Students are required to attend face-to-face intensive classes for up to five-days per semester at Melbourne Campus Students must be prepared to travel to this campus for these classes
